Hello and welcome to learning Tai Chi and Qigong with our video 'lessons'.
If you are new to Hand of the Wind Tai Chi and Qigong, start by watching the 'First Steps Lesson One' video in the 'Welcome' series. Then go to the Learn Tai Chi Form up to Move 3 video to learn the first part of the Tai Chi Form. You can then practice the Form you have learnt by using the 'Practice up to Move 3' video in the Practice up to 20 series. Also have a go at some of the Taoyin Qigong Breathing Exercises. Finish your training session with the 'closing' Breathing Exercise 'Wild Goose Sleeps' which you can find in the Welcome series as well as in the Breathing Exercise series.
If you have trained with us before (either onllne or at a class) then start with the Warm Up video, then use the 4 Directional Breathing Exercise video (both in the Welcome series folder for convenience!).
Then practice the Tai Chi Form up to the movement that you already know, using the appropriate Practice video, before learning the next bit of the Form with the next Learn video (when you feel ready to move on! Remember there is no rush to learn movements quickly - You will get far more benefit from the movements if you take time to perfect them before learning the next movements!). Then use the next Practice video to go over what you have just learned.
Do some breathing exercises or look at some of the Theory (more videos to come online in that series soon!).
Finish with the 'Wild Goose Sleeps' breathing exercise (you can find it in the 'Welcome' series).
Mostly, remember to relax and enjoy the practice!
